Support an Immigrant College Student

Mehmet* is an asylum seeking college student who was a successful high schooler in Turkey and accepted to his dream college. BUT after his father was jailed by the Turkish government without any due process, Mehmet could not attend his dream school and had to leave his home country.

After the failed coup attempt in Turkey, President Erdogan started to purge hundreds of thousands of innocent people which includes about 5,000 judges and prosecutors, 6000+ academicians, 34000+ teachers, 300+ journalists, and even 17,000 women with more than 670 babies! (https://turkeypurge.com/)

Being away from his family and country has been difficult BUT Mehmet never gave up, resettled in St Louis almost three years ago and started to college to accomplish his dreams. In his free times after college and working for his tuition, Mehmet dedicates himself as  a mentor for high school students so they can be well-rounded individuals.
